It’s hard to think of a concept for a hotel that’s more surely guaranteed to pack in a crowd than that of El Hotel Pacha. For starters, it’s in Ibiza town, a place that it’s fair to say gets quite a lot of tourist traffic. And it’s not just anywhere in Ibiza town, but right across the road from Pacha, the legendary mega-club that’s one of the island’s biggest draws.
So the name is clearly no coincidence. The idea is that the Pacha group would have a top-tier boutique hotel to match their enormously successful nightclub, and looking around this place, it’s clear they’ve gone all out. This one-time condo complex has had a highly theatrical makeover — you can forgive the somewhat dated exterior when you see the dramatic glossy white interiors.
El Hotel is more luxurious by half than it needs to be, given that most guests will likely be out all night anyway: all rooms come with king beds, a relief in a country where the double-twin still reigns. Entry to the main Pacha club is free for hotel guests, but the hotel’s own bar, though on a much smaller scale, is far from sleepy. And, should you feel the need, you can always venture outside of the Pacha family; though it may be easy to forget, there’s a whole town (and island) worth of experiences right at your feet.
