The tour begins with a comprehensive 3 hour coach tour of Auckland. Highlights include the Harbour Bridge, Mt Eden, Auckland War Memorial Museum (NZ $5 donation applies - please pay in person), and the Central Business District.
The tour then heads over the Waitakere Ranges, 30 minutes west of Auckland, to a contrasting eco-system of lush rainforests and wild black sand beaches. We visit the Arataki Visitors Centre with panoramic views of the Manukau Harbour and Auckland City. Your experienced guide will take you on a short trek to view magnificent Kauri trees followed by a trek along the beach. Note - comfortable footwear is advised.
