It’s really no surprise we’ve such a haunting legacy lingering upon our town. You’ll visit the shadowy closes where the ghosts still cling to the ancient sites and explore the gruesome past in the safety of daylight. However, the Blair Street Underground Vaults always lie in shadow. Descend into the famously haunted Blair Street Underground Vaults where the poor souls of Edinburgh's past still haunt her present.

Transporation to and from the departure location; Gratuities.

Hours of operation

Available: Daily; Departs at 3:00pm and 5:00pm. During the winter (November - March) 5:00pm is on Saturdays only.

Duration

Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes.

Location All tours depart from the Mercat Cross, High Street next to St. Giles Cathedral on the Royal Mile.

Participant restrictions

For health & safety reasons we are unable to allow any children under the age of 5 on our underground tours.

Additional information As you are participating in a walking tour, primarily outdoors, please dress appropriately for both the weather and terrain – comfortable, sensible walking shoes and warm, waterproof clothing when required.
