This bizarre art work represents the evolution of Cadillac automobiles, from 1949 to 1963. It was created in 1974 by three artists, part of Ant Farm group (an avant-garde architecture design practice, promoting ideas which have no commercial potential) and it was sponsored by Stanley Marsh,an artist and philanthropist from Amarillo. The cars are have buried in the ground, at the same angle with the Pyramids of Giza.
In 1997, the construction had to be moved 3 kilometers to the west, further away from the city limits. You can visit it 24/7 and you're even encouraged to add your own graffiti.
