Once the crowning place of the Kings of Scots, this breathtaking palace is a place rich in history, like no other in Scotland. During time, it was the centre of the ancient Celtic church and the seat of parliaments.
Today it is the home of the Earls of Mansfield, and a major attraction to visitors from all over the world. Tourists have access to more than half of the palace, being able to admire the magnificent formal rooms, Queen Victoria's room and the ground floor galleries. There are guides in each room, explaining the significance of each artwork.
