Part of the Philippines, Camiguin is quite special, boasting kilometers of pristine coastline. Because of the seven volcanoes located on the island, including the still-active Mount Hibok-Hibok it is also known as the island "Born of Fire".
This spectacular island is full of natural wonders and has a rich history. You can still see the ruins of the Catamaran Church, destroyed by the volcanic eruption in 1871 and the sunken cemetery, devastated by the same eruption. A big cross has been installed, to mark the community cemetery.
Hot springs, lagoons and waterfalls are spread over the island, enchanting everyone one who discovers them.
