Situated in the heart of the Philippines, this tropical island has narrow coastlines, limestone plateaus and great diving sites. The island is surrounded by 167 smaller islands, some uninhabited, which makes them popular tourist attractions. Because it's the main attraction in the Philippines, it is a very modern and commercial island, with five-star hotels, casinos, golf terrain and shopping malls. Apart from this, there are smaller resorts in fisher villages in the South offering a more Filipino experience, for the less pretentious ones.
The city of Cebu is full of history, but the most important thing you must know is that this is the place where Magellan debarked when he first discovered The Philippines. One of the main touristic objectives to visit is Magellan's grave.
Beside enjoying the sun and discovering the history of Cebu, tourist can go diving and discover the amazing underwater life.

I've been to Cebu and I was awed by Bantayan Island, unlike some of the beaches in the Philippines that are overly commercialized, this one is unspoilt but the people are friendly, the beaches are superb and the food were delectable. I would go back to that place in a heartbeat!I disliked
