Tropical Hebrides

The most beautiful part of the British Isles, with a rocky and lush landscape. The Outer Hebrides have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, long, clean and deserted. You can find most of them on South Uist, North Uist, Berneray, Harris and Lewis. The Hebrides are also a good place for practicing surfing, due to the tides.

Most of the islands can be reached by ferry from the port of Oban on the mainland. Relatively cheap for foot travelers, but expensive for cars and other vehicles.

Getting around the islands is easy, and exploring by foot is preferred. The hiking opportunities are excellent here. For accommodation, you'll find chalets and bed & breakfasts in the vilalges, and more expensive accommodation in the more tourist-oriented areas.
