Vatra Dornei is first of all the city of white sports. The ski slopes are full of tourists every winter, beginners and professionals, participating in contests or being here just for the pure pleasure of skiing. But even if in the winter time, skiing is the main activity, during summer tourists can practice rafting, mountain biking, trekking, hiking and even paintball. So there is something to do for everyone.
Know also by the name of Bucovina Pearl, this area is protected by the Carpathians against the cold winds. Situated at 802 m altitude, it is close to Suceava (112km) and Bistrita Nasaud (89km).
Vatra Dornei is a true kingdom of sparkling waters, due to the many sparkling springs found here. For the ones looking for natural treatments, here they can benefit from the thermal and sparkling springs and the medicinal mud cures.
