General

During its glory days, from the historic Sala Silvermine in Sweeden, more than 3 tonnes of silver were extracted per year, most of it being used in manufacturing coins. A total of more than 400 tons of silver and about 40,000 tons of lead were dug out, completely by hand! The mine was in use during the 15th century to 1908 and is today placed on the Top 5 list of historical big silver mines in the world, due to its size.

So if you decide to sleep underground, you'll get a free guided tour of the environment, a late night dinner and breakfast the next morning. Shower is above ground, but you will also have a simple toilet available 50m away from your bedroom. You will be offered a basket of refreshments and something to drink as well.

Remember that your mobile phone does not work 155m under ground, so don't expect to be contacted by anyone. However, a mines general phone number is reachable. While under ground, you will receive a intercom radio which connects you to a staff member available for you above ground during the whole night.

The big empty room room is also available for concerts, conferences, team buildings, companies events or other under ground entertainment

Recently new test-drilling have been made, and the possibility of a second silver treasury is not denied. So dig in this attraction in one of the world’s best preserved mine settings.
