Its abundant blue waters are home to a variety of sword fish and other species. Next to San Juan del Sur is La Flor and Chacococente beach. These are two refuges of fauna and one of the few places around the world where sea turtles lay their eggs. Majahualt and Maderas beach are also near a perfect surfing spot.
