You will glide around the streets of downtown Chicago, escorted by one of our Segway tour guides. Eerily we creep through the shadows and darkness to hear some of Chicago's true ghost stories and view the site where some of Chicago's most appalling disasters took place.

We begin this Haunted Segway Tour of Chicago at our location, and glide our Segway’s through the dark paths of the park. We make a stop at Buckingham fountain to view it all its light filled glory, situated between Lake Michigan and Michigan Avenue. Here your guide will share stories of Al Capone's haunted yacht, and the famous Chicago gangster's affiliation with a notorious Michigan Avenue hotel, allegedly the most haunted hotel in the city. You will learn about the creepy things that have happened in the hotel, such as a number of unexplainable deaths and the self-playing piano in the grand ballroom.

After we explore the park, this guided ghost tour of Chicago will continue through the dark streets of downtown Chicago to Death Alley, the site of the Iroquois theatre fire where over 600 Chicagoans' perished in a single day. You'll feel how noticeably cooler it is in this creepy alley. We will then glide along the Chicago River to view the site of the Eastland Disaster, the worst maritime disaster in the Chicago history that claimed the lives of 800 people in 1915. Perhaps you will hear the splashing of the water if you have a good ear. Our Chicago Segway’s will then glide us along the River Walk to see the former site of Fort Dearborn, and learn about the haunting surrounding the Fort Dearborn Massacre.

Participant restrictions

Segway participants must be at least 14 years old and 100-260 lbs. (45 kg-117 kg). An adult must accompany anyone under the age of 18. Women who are pregnant are strongly recommended not to participate. Persons who suffer from seizure disorders, balance disorders, vertigo are not allowed to participate for their safety and the safety of others.
Participants must be able to hear Segway PT audio cues, which cannot be interpreted visually as recommended by the manufacturer for the safety of the rider and others Wearing closed-toed flat shoes and or athletic shoes on the Segway Tour is strongly recommended. The use of rocking athletic shoes is prohibited, as are high heeled shoes or any shoe with more than one inch heel. All participants must be able to ascend a flight of stairs without assistance of the handrail and be cable of standing for 2 hours. Those persons who are under the influence of drugs or alcohol are prohibited from participating in this activity and a refund and or rescheduling option is not available. This tour requires 2 people minimum to operate.

Policies We glide rain or shine! Ponchos are provided free of charge. In the event of extreme inclement weather as predicated by the National Weather Forecast System, rescheduling options are available. We do stop for photo opportunities along the tour route, For your safety and the safety of others still cameras, video cameras, any Hand held device are prohibited While operating the Segway I2 HT Guests are responsible for their own transportation to and from the departure location. Please arrive 15 minutes early. Guest is required to call at least 48 hours ahead of your tour date to confirm your reservation.
