The guide and the driver will meet and transfer us to “Ephesus”, the UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Churches of Apocalypse. We learn its history from our expert local guide and walk on the remarkably preserved wide marble streets, flanked by columns, temples and fountains. We look at all the famous highlights like the Temple of Hadrian, the Celsus Library, Harbor Street and the Great Theater which is still used for performances and special events today. After a lunch at a local restaurant, we continue on to “House of Virgin Mary” on the pine-shaded heights of Ephesus to visit where The Virgin is believed to have spent her last years, and visit the “St. John Basilica” as where you will see the Vatican approved burial place of the Bible writer. "Artemis Temple" ruins, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World is near here. To complete this dream like day visit the “Isa Bey Mosque”, a 13th Century authentic Muslim temple. In the afternoon will visit the carpet coorperative to see how the Turkish carpets are made by hand. After the tour transfer back to the hotel.
