The entire Everglades area, including Everglades National Park, is a wonderful place for birding. With over 300 species of birds throughout the year, it is the only Park that was established for its biological and ecological considerations rather than it geological features.

However, most of the 1.5 million acres in the Park are flooded and essentially out of reach for the average birder and photographers. Everglades Area Tours can you take you and your equipment to areas seldom reach by others.

As the seasons, migrations and bird populations vary, we to must vary our experiences. While we never know what we will encounter, in general, you can expect a plethora of shore birds, wading birds and raptors on the power boat or kayak based trips. Mixed in, as well, can be dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, alligators and a vast variety of others.

If you are an avid birder and prefer to focus on birding without the distractions of a shared or group trip, we do suggest a private experience.

A private experience is particularly important for outdoor and wildlife photographers. On the shared tours, we must balance the needs and desires of all aboard. With a private tour, you are our focus. If we need to reposition for lighting, wait until particular subject is where you want them or bring you to a particular species or landscape we can. The true shooting opportunities are greater. On the shared trips, you do not have this luxury.
