Flowers Tea House 1911

( 9 user reviews )

Flowers is a tiny tea house in the heart of Cluj Napoca. Fit up in a construction built around the 1920's, this unique place offers 50 assortments of tea: African tea, black tea, green tea and so on.

This tea house is very popular amongst bohemian smoking locals. The front door hosts tens of posters that are announcing mostly cultural events. This is a casual, loud and fun place to have a cup of very good tea at an inexpensive price. While sipping your drink you can see St. Peter's Cathedral out the window or use the wi-fi connection.

Since it was opened, in 2001, Flowers Tea House it definitely became an important hallmark amongst the local tea and coffee lovers.

I liked

The nice bohemian atmosphere. And the fact that it's in the very center of the city.

If you are not very smoke-tolerant like I am, you might find this place hard to stay in. But it's worth the fuss if you enjoy a good tea or coffee.

This is not a quiet place where to set up an important meeting, this is just a small, fun place to go get a cup of tea if you accidentally run into a friend and you only have 10-15 minutes for a short chat. I used to spend time there between classes. Internet access is very fast.

One of the first places in Cluj with free wi-fi, this was basically my office for a number of weeks. Good tea and coffee, friendly staff, generally a nice place.

I disliked

When it gets crowded there is a lot of smoke. And the toilet is... not so nice.

If it weren't that small, flowers would be my favorite place, but there's almost never room there. However, pretty good tea, a lot of tea, btw!
