Uros Islands: The islands of the Uros (3,810 msnm) are in Puno's bay and are 20 approximately. Each one is lived by approximately 3 to 10 family’s uro-aymaras, those who construct and roof in his houses with mats of totora. Between the principal islands Tupiri emphasizes, Santa Maria, Platform, Toranipata, Chumi, Paradise, Kapi, Titino, Tinajero and Negrone.

Taquile Island: This Island has 6 km2 of extension approximately and the altitude between the port and the village changes lightly, of 3810 msnm to 3950 msnm. Taquile is characterized by their amicable people, who preserve their customs, traditions and gown to the ancient usage. The villagers emphasize for laborious and thin textiles with symmetrical symbolic decorations, of strong colors, that they reflect their form of life, their customs and his Andean beliefs.
