From Sausalito, the tour takes you along the Pacific Coast Highway providing breathtaking views of the coastal mountains near Mt. Tamalpais, the highest point in the Northern California Coast Ranges. After a very scenic drive into Marin County, we will reach Muir Woods National Monument, home to the Coast Redwoods, some of the tallest trees in the world! Set aside in 1908 as a federally protected area, Muir Woods National Monument is the only surviving stand of Old Growth Forest in the Bay Area today. There are a number of paved walking trails where visitors can get a close look at the magnificent giants. Other unpaved walking trails lead up the hills to connect with trails outside of the Monument boundaries. (Admission not included, $7 per person, kids are free).

This tour is from Sausalito, located at the north end of the Golden Gate Bridge. A small Mediterranean-like village in Marin County, it is now home to some of the country's wealthiest citizens. Sausalito is a gorgeous destination that offers unique boutique shopping, art galleries, fabulous mansions, amazing food and breathtaking views of the bay. This tour returns ONLY to Sausalito.

Hours of operation

Available: Daily; Departs at 11:55am, 12:55pm, and 2:55pm (Apr-Sep); last return from Muir Woods at 4:25pm. During peak season (Jul-Aug) additional departures may be added for higher frequency. During winter season (Oct-Mar) tour is subject to weather conditions - please call for latest schedule.

Policies Once vouchers have been redeemed for tickets, passengers are free to hop on and off the bus at any stop as often as they like for up to 24 hours. During peak season (July & August) additional departures may be added for higher frequency.
