Although it seems impossible to practice horse riding in the crowded cities around Barcelona, a few minutes away from the city you will find a place where it is a real pleasure to mount a horse. Wear your boots and put your pants on! Ride in a Natural Park and find a diverse mix of beautiful forest, green pine groves and impressive mountains. Discover these breathtaking Catalonian landscapes on horseback and enjoy a morning involved in Nature and horses. As well as enjoying your horseback excursion, you will have time to build a relationship with the horse allocated to you. We pride ourselves on giving guests time to get to know their horses, learning and enjoying how to communicate with them. This is the perfect experience for nature-lovers looking for an escape from the city.

Tour leaves Barcelona at 9:00h in a 4wheel drive car with full air conditioning, and heads straight up to the small beautiful village in the middle of the forest, where the Equestrian Center is located. Prepare the horses and get ready for a technical explanation and a ride in the horse arena. Afterwards, visit the natural park on horseback, where you will have time to explore our countryside, surrounded by pines and tweeting wild birds. Uncover the stunning secrets hidden in the depths of the forest, and let your camera create images that will make postcards envious. After the 1,5h adventure in the forest, the morning finishes with a nutritious snack in the ranch and the opportunity to learn how to take care of the horses after the energetic walk. We return to Barcelona, arriving at 13:30h or 14:00h.

Inclusion

Transport by air-conditioned minivan or 4wheel drive car. Horse-riding helmet and horse equipment. Light lunch of Catalan and Spanish tapas. Souvenir pictures with your horse. A professional native guide provides the guided tour in Catalan, Spanish or English.

Hours of operation

This tour is available all year round. Every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 9:00h, every Sunday at 8:00h. This tour is not available January 1st and 6th, December 24th, 25th and 26th.

Location Tour begins and ends in a very well-known spot in Central Barcelona, at Plaça de l’Ossa Menor at Glories shopping Center (next to the shopping center information office and next to the Starbucks café).

Additional Information Please, bring sun protection during summer season. Please, bring raincoat in case it rains and a jacket during winter season. Remember that temperatures at a Natural Park will be lower than in the city. Suitable clothing required: long trousers, leggings or jodhpurs, and closed-toe shoes with non-slip soles.

Participant restrictions

Children must be at least 8 years of age to ride a horse. Children under 12 years old not experienced in horseback riding may need to be accompanied by an adult walking next to them. Maximum weight for horse riding is 200 pounds (90 kg). This tour is aimed at novice and intermediate-level riders who are capable of mounting and dismounting unassisted, and who can apply basic commands with the reins to walk and halt.
