This tour includes parts of our High Country Jeep Tour and a one-hour horseback ride. Your Cowboy guide will take you in an open-air Jeep up Old Stage Road leading to Cripple Creek. We make several stops to stretch our legs and take advantage of photo opportunities of the distant mountains and Colorado Springs on the plains below. The summit of our journey is the spectacular Saint Peter’s Dome Overlook! We then stop at the ranch property for a one-hour horseback ride on mountain trails through pine trees, aspen groves, and mountain meadows. While at the ranch you may have the opportunity to view buffalo and elk. After the ride, we get back in the Jeeps to head back to town.

Our Jeep tours take place in the wild. Each tour is a new adventure for both AOW and the guest. AOW cannot foresee all possible scenarios that may impede an otherwise successful tour. Tours involving Mother Nature combined with man made vehicles that take place in remote areas cannot be totally controlled. The environment includes stream crossings, boulders, rocks, trees, unpredictable weather, and other vehicles on the roads and wildlife that may be encountered. Each and all affect the outcome of your adventure. Mechanical breakdowns do and can occur from time to time. Drive shafts break on rocks, batteries jostle loose. Rescue times may be long and are part of the experience. All equipment is impeccably maintained and guides are well trained. Should you encounter an out of the ordinary experience count yourself lucky. Full fares will be charged for all tours regardless of outcome.
