The Little-Big Econ is one of the unique rivers in North America that flows north, is filled with swimming holes, rope swings and meadows to picnic. This is the true old south swimming hole-experience combined with the beauty of the Florida Hammock. We see Eagles, deer, otter, alligator, wild pigs and so many of the peculiar critters that Natural Florida is home to. The tour lasts 4.5 to 5 hours but the trip can be extended up to 7 hours depending on the schedule and desired activities en-route.

Policies Any size group may join an established tour. Our tour minimum is 4 participants for the tour to go. Tours with less than 4 reservations will be rescheduled. Please remember is Florida. Rain at your location DOES NOT mean rain at our launch site. A Day Away Inc. reserves the right to make itinerary changes, if necessary, due to water fluctuations, weather conditions, insufficient reservations or acts of God beyond our control. A Day Away Inc. is not responsible for any reservation you fail to keep due to weather conditions, road hazards, vehicle breakdowns, personal agenda, or other unforeseen conditions that may hinder your participation in the tour as scheduled. A Day Away Inc. reserves the right to deny service to any patron deemed to be an unsafe paddler for whatever reason. Your safety and the safety of the group are our highest priority.

Additional information Skill Level: Intermediate Conditions can be extreme here in Florida. It is important to prepare well to gain the best enjoyment from your trip. Your guides are very familiar with your paddling environment and conditions. Feel free to ask any questions you would like in order to understand all you need to be confident about your trip. Please understand, we will not paddle in unsafe conditions including high winds and thunderstorms. What to wear…. Clothes you don’t mind getting a little wet.
Warm weather… Swim suit/board shorts & T shirt
Cool weather… the same with nylon cover-ups (Avoid cotton if possible)
Shoes – preferably full sandals that can be worn in the water
Bring an extra change of clothes just in case…
Hat & sunglasses are great
SUNSCREEN – very important What to Bring… Camera & Dry bag (optional) these can get wet so a dry bag is important.
Bottled water, Snacks
Towel (left in car)
Any special personal paddling gear if you like
Bug Repellent
Please lock valuables in your trunk (never had a problem but this is more safe)
