We’ve designed our Muir Woods experience to allow you complete flexibility to explore this remarkable destination. With frequent departures between San Francisco and Muir Woods you have all the time to in the world to take full advantage of the many great views of the Muir Woods National Monument.

Your journey begins at our Fisherman’s Wharf Tour Center at Pier 41. On the way to Muir Woods, you’ll pass over the majestic Golden Gate Bridge as you leave the City for this nearby pristine environment. Wander the trails in this serene forest teeming with gigantic Coastal Redwood trees, learn of the history of the area at the Visitor Center, or pick up one of the various books on its history at the bookshop located on site.

Once you’ve taken in all that Muir Woods has to offer, simply make your way back to vehicle for the next scheduled departure back to San Francisco. Your return journey takes you through the quaint Mediterranean-style village of Sausalito. Take the opportunity to hop off and enjoy the dining, shopping, fine art galleries, walking paths and spectacular Bay and City views…or…continue with the coach back to the Fisherman’s Wharf Tour Center.

For those who got off in Sausalito, make your way back to the arrival point for the next departure back to San Francisco or simply take the 30 minute ferry ride back to Pier 41 at the departure time of your choice. Ferry transportation is not included in the price of the tour.

Following your tour, take advantage of prime photo opportunities with unobstructed views in every direction on a Bay Cruise departing from Pier 41. This 60 minute Bay Cruise takes you past the famous PIER 39 sea lions and along San Francisco’s historic waterfront revealing the city’s fascinating skyline. This comfortable Bay tour has both indoor and outdoor seating with full narration describing major landmarks as you sail by them.

Please wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the forest’s often cool damp climate. Hotel pick up and drop off is included from central San Francisco areas. Complete information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, will be included on your Confirmation Voucher.
