The exploration of the Seashell Valley allows you to understand the fluctuation of sea levels that followed the melting of the glacier. The 6 km. long electric shuttle trip follows alongside the Rivière aux Anglais in a natural setting. Once there, observe the phenomena associated with the Goldthwaite Sea, some 12 000 years ago, that submerged the whole area with 170 meters of water above the current sea level!
Discover the staggering beauty of a glacial delta and a seashell deposit that have remained intact. From 5 to 15 meters in height, the seashell deposit is 90% shellfish from 10,000 years ago, and it is located in the heart of the northern forest! Excavation and identification activities, by means of an interactive interpretation scenario, allow you to appreciate this unique phenomenon.
