The Segway tour is the perfect tour for both those new to the city and Parisian veterans. For the beginners, this tour will offer you a fantastic orientation and give you an opportunity to see virtually all of the sites you’ve read about. For the veterans, we’re positive you’ll learn new facts and stories about Paris that you’ve never heard. And we’re sure you’ll both agree that riding a Segway is the best way to see the ‘City of Light’.

The Eiffel Tower: The symbol of Paris was built by Gustave Eiffel sa the entrance for the Universal Exposition of 1889 and stood as the tallest building in the world until New York City's Chrysler Building was completed in 1930.

Napoléon's Tomb: Originally built by King Louis XIV in 1676 as an exclusive place or worship for the Royal family. Ceased functioning as a church during the Revolution and is now the resting place of the most famous Frenchman in history.

Louvre Museum: Originally built as a fort by King Philippe-Auguste in 1190, now one of the grandest museums in the world. The most famous works include the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo and Winged Victory of Samothrace.

Musée D'Orsay: Designed for the 1900 Universal Exhibition and originally a train station. It reopened in 1986 as the museum hosting a world-class collection of Impressionist paintings.

Champs-Elysées: The most famous avenue in the world. Its sidewalks are lined with cafés, cinemas, 5-star hotels and shops. We see the Champs-Elysées from the Place de la Concorde.

Tuileries Gardens: Former Royal Gardens in the middle of the city designed by the same man who architected Versailles' grounds!

Hours of operation

Available: Daily, no Sunday departures January and December. Departs: 9:30am (year round) and 2:00pm (March-November). Please meet 15 minutes prior to tour departure.

Approximately 3 hours.

Location Our tour meets at our office located at 24, rue Edgar Faure, Paris 75015, but the La Motte Picquet-Grenelle Metro on line 8, direction Balard, is closed. There are two other stations nearby: the RER C line, Champ de Mars – Tour Eiffel station and the La Motte-Picquet / Grenelle station which is serviced by Metro lines 6 and 10. From the RER C line, Champ de Mars – Tour Eiffel station. Estimated walking time: 10 minutes. Follow the signs inside the station to exit Bd de Grenelle (“sortie Bd de Grenelle“). When you reach street-level, please cross the street to rue de la Federation and walk up it (it only flows away from the river) for about 8 minutes. The second street on your right will be rue Desaix. Turn right onto Desaix and after only a minute or two, you will turn left down the first street, rue Edgar Faure. Please follow this up and around the bend to the right; our office is number 24 and you will see a lot of bikes parked in front. From La Motte-Picquet / Grenelle, Metro line 10. Estimated walking time: 7 minutes. Follow the signs to exit 4 (“sortie 4”). When you reach street-level, turn directly to your right onto rue Pondichery. You will be walking between a restaurant called Le Bouquet de Grenelle on the left and a pink-windowed chocolate shop called La Petite Chocolatiere on the right. Follow Pondichery for about six minutes until you reach a small park. Follow the park around the corner to the right (there is a large Parisian public toilet on the corner). Our office is located on the first street on your left, rue Edgar Faure. Our office is number 24 and you will see a lot of bikes parked in front.

Participant restrictions

For your riding safety, minimum weight 100 pounds, maximum 260 pounds. Minimum age: 12 years. The Segway is appropriate for virtually anyone 12 and older. Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult on the tour and will not be allowed to tour alone. Due to the risk to both child and mother, pregnant women are not allowed to participate.

Additional Information Wear comfortable shoes. We are not walking but we will be on our feet for the duration of the tour. Do not bring too many belongings with you. Each Segway is equipped with a small bag to hold a camera, water, and a small purse.

Policies Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure time. Each of our tours begins with a 30-minute orientation session in the plaza and park next to our office. We will practice on the Segways so that everyone feels comfortable and ready to go out and conquer Paris. Tours operate rain or shine at the discretion of City Segway Tours. Rain ponchos available for purchase at €1 euro. Additionally, City Segway Tours has a strict policy against alcohol consumption and Segway operation. Alcohol is forbidden on all Segway tours and any client suspected of drinking before or during a Segway tour will immediately forfeit their tour and no refund will be given. Complete information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, will be included on your Confirmation Voucher.
