Highlights / General details

Join this guided city tours of Punta Arenas, the southernmost city in the Chile. Our first stop will be the viewpoint of “Cerro de la Cruz”, from where there is a magnificent panoramic view of the colorful top roofs, the Strait of Magellan and the large Island of Tierra del Fuego. Here you will hear about the history of the city, its colonization and its first inhabitants. The tour continues to the main square (Plaza de Armas), surrounded by beautiful buildings and well-kept streets, where is possible to buy some handy-crafts or typical chocolate. After that, we will visit “Maggiorino Borgatello” museum, founded by the Salesian Congregation in 1893, which displays a complete collection of the first Indians Settlers’ history and economy, and of Patagonia flora and fauna. In the last part of the tour we will visit the north of the city, with its famous monuments to Shepherd, the Croat and Antoine de Saint Eupery.
