Samsara, chill-out and tea house

In Buddhism, Hinduism and other related religions, Samsara is the cycle of reincarnation: birth, death and rebirth. In Cluj Napoca, Samsara is a unique tea house where you take off your shoes before entering, sit on a comfy pillow on the floor and drink one of the best teas in the city. Although smoking is forbidden, different assortments of hookahs are available. The special ambient is completed by good services: the friendly waiters that seem to know very well what to recomand you. The electronic psy trance music has an energizing and almost hypnotizing effect on the listener.

Each room has a different theme but they all share a strong oriental vibe. There is also an ultraviolet lit room that creates a psychedelic atmosphere. This space recreates the galactic universe, giving you a different point of view in the greater scheme of things.

Samsara tea house is placed in an old house in an elegant neighborhood. Although it has been opened just recently, it quickly became very popular amongst lovers and became a refuge for many young locals. Samsara is more than a tea house, it is a complete experience for the body and mind.

I loved the bright colored atmosphere and the fact that smoking is forbidden. The tea is good and the people there are friendly.

Mind-blowing atmosphere! I am really not into zen/reincarnation/oriental philosophies, but I will definitely go back for more tea! Taking off your shoes makes you feel at home. Indeed, very friendly people.

Attention to detail and perfection of the decorations, the friendliness of the hosts, the goodies that go next to the tea. Curious to see how it will be during summer time, when they will probably hang some hammocks in the garden.

Maybe it's a bit to discreete and you wouldn't know exactly where it is.

interzicerea fumatului.realizez ca se doreste ambianta orientala pana si la parfumul ceainariei, deci se fumeaza doar narghila, insa daca s-ar pune la vanzare cel putin tigari de foi,ar fi ideal.

No smoking. Great selection of teas, very nice and friendly people. Very hippie, oriental, new-age blend. I used to hate taking off my shoes but it's ok in this case. Relaxing.

I disliked

Tea is on the expensive side. I also disliked the smoke from an incense stick.

Soothing music, wonderful appearance and great tea! A real haven for non-smokers on a night out.

I disliked

The music is a bit loud sometimes (but now I'm just nitpicking).

I liked

The atmosphere, the menu, the location, the choice of music; the non-smoking policy.

I disliked

It's quite cold during winter, since you're sitting on the floor. Blankets or turning up the heat would be nice. The music was a bit too loud for the otherwise discrete atmosphere; loud enough to impede conversation if you're not right next to a person or you don't raise your voice.

My favourite place in Cluj when I was living here. Great tea, bong, athmosphere, music. The rule don't wear shoes just simply creates Samsara place to something really special. Try hot milk with cinamon and honey. THE BEST!

Very cozy and intimate place. One of the best places in town if you want to hide from crowd and be with someone special.

I disliked

An alternate place for shoes would be better. Not all who walk-in there have best of the aroma :)
