In this tour you will be able to visit very different and yet equally pleasant cities, Santiago de Compostela, the Religious Center of North Spain, and Viana do Castelo, the Nautical Capital of Europe.
We take you to Spain, from Porto, in order to get to know Santiago de Compostela, one of the most important pilgrimage places in the world, best known for its “Caminhos de Santiago”, or St. James Way. Here you will visit the magnificent Cathedral in cult of St. James. This Cathedral, built in Romanic style, is nowadays an amalgam of different styles that come together in harmony. Apart from this you will also be able to attend mass if desired, and enjoy some free-time for lunch and other activities as also walk in the City Centre Unesco´s World Heritage.
In the afternoon you will visit the Portuguese city Viana do Castelo, founded in 1258. This once small village struggled through history, making it known way in ancient times all throughout Europe as an important nautical trading place of various products, like glass, silver or tapestry, gaining the title of Nautical Capital of Europe that it holds until today.
