Today's tour departs the Phoenix/Scottsdale area at approximately 6:30 am for a guided tour of the Sedona area, beginning with a visit to either Montezuma Castle or Tuzigoot National Monuments. The National Monuments represent the ruins of the Sinagua population that inhabited the region over 1000 years ago. Once in Sedona, the DETOURS guide will share viewpoints like Bell Rock, Chapel of the Holy Cross, and other local favorites, along with opportunities for jeep and Helicopter tours, shopping and gallery visits. Lunch is provided by the guide and guests will be checked into their Sedona hotel around 2:00 pm. Guests will be on their own in Sedona from approximately 2:00 pm and meet their guide at 9:30 am the following morning.
Day 2:
Today's guide will meet guests at their Sedona hotel at 9:30 am for a drive through Oak Greek Canyon on the way to Grand Canyon National Park. The DETOURS guide will introduce guests to the Grand Canyon and check all guests into their overnight accommodations inside the park. The park is serviced by shuttles and guests will be shown the dining, shopping, and scenic rim opportunities for the time on their own in Grand Canyon. Guests will be on their own in Grand Canyon National Park from approximately 2:00 pm and will be met by their guide the next day at approximately 1:30 pm at a pre-determined location. Optional helicopter tours are available in Grand Canyon with Maverick Helicopters.
Day 3:
Today, guests will meet their guide at their Grand Canyon hotel at 1:30 pm for a tour of the East Rim Drive with scenic views to the east end of the park. Today also includes a visit to a Navajo Trading post along with views of the Painted Desert. The Navajo Nation is the largest reservation in the country with stunning 100 mile vistas and colors that will remind you of Sedona. The tour returns to the Phoenix/Scottsdale area at approximately 8:30 pm.
