The half day tour departs at 9:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. We will begin our tour at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by the Grand Daddy of all Tahoe Peaks, Mt. Tallac. This area is also a wildlife sanctuary, and you be able to view and photograph many species of local birds, mammals, and possibly even Bears.
As the mountains and lakes beckon, we will continue our journey to back country lakes and beyond to spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. We will then climb 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, which gives you an amazing view of Lake Tahoe, Fallen Leaf Lake, Mt Tallac, and the surrounding High Sierras.
When in season, you will then be taken to see the amazing Tahoe Kokanee Salmon run. We then move on to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. You will be taken to secret spots where the allure, beauty, and photographic opportunities are timeless. These areas are priceless, and offer a great vantage point to cultivate your imagery. More incredible waterfalls await, as we explore the natural beauty of this glacier carved masterpiece from many different spectrums.
