Traveling toward the southern border of the Czech Republic, we will arrive at the edge of Vienna after approximately 3 to 4 hours of travel through the picturesque landscape of Bohemia and Moravia. Passing through the city is Europe´s largest river, the Danube. Your bus will travel around the famous Ringstrasse, a magnificent boulevard which Franz Joseph I built in the 1880´s on the site of demolished city walls. On the way, you will see splendid, majestic buildings including palaces, museums, hotels and parks with statues of important people. We travel to Vienna´s southern edge where you can view Schönbrunn (the former summer residence of the imperial family) and its beautiful reservoir. After the tour of the gardens and the Schönbrunn Chateau (own expense) we will return by bus to the centre of the city for a walking tour through Hofburg (own expense), the Habsburg´s winter residence. Then we will travel to Saint Stephen´s Cathedral. After your guided tour, enjoy free time for lunch or shopping. At the end of this free time, we will meet in front of Saint Stephens´s Cathedral to board the bus for our return trip to Prague.
