Japan's got the first two positions secured with Tokyo and Osaka. According to Mercer's 2009 Worldwide Cost of Living survey, Tokyo is the most expensive city in the world, knocking Moscow off the first place. If you thought you're paying a lot for your daily expenses, try buying a coffee, a newspaper and a bus ticket in Tokyo, it will knock you off. The newest entry to the top is New York, who moved from No.22 to No.8.
